Prof. KKIU ArunaKumara Senior Professor Department of Crop Science Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna
	KKIU Arunakumara is a Professor attached to the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. His research interests lie primarily in the areas of assessing metal contamination of lands and water bodies and the effects of heavy metals on growth and development of economically important higher plant and algae species. He also works on timber classification based on strength factors and fine structures. He involves in developing agro-technological packages for economically important medicinal and aromatic plant species. He has been recognized with several wards including the Presidents award for scientific publications.
