Prof. GY Jayasinghe Dean Professor Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna
	Guttila Yugantha Jayasinghe is a Senior Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. With a B.Sc. in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Microbiology, M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Technology, and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, he has a diverse educational background. He is an academic of University of Ruhuna since 1999. He has published over 150 academic papers and received several awards, including, Most Outstanding Scholar (2012), Most Outstanding Promoter of International Relations Award (2024), Highest Recipient of Grants Award (2024), UOR Tier 4** Award (2024), Endeavour Postgraduate Research Fellowship (Australia: 2014) and Monbukagakusho award Japan (2004-2010). His research interests include agro-climatology, climate change, irrigation and water management, Green infrastructure, crop modelling, environmental modelling, hydrological modelling, machine learning, digital Agriculture, disaster management, waste management, and environmental engineering. He is a member of various professional organizations and serves as a reviewer for several international journals. He is passionate about fostering new environmental science opportunities and collaborating with industry, government, and community partners.
